Wrecking her Resolve

$700.00

2026
Resin and mixed media on hand-cut wood
Approx. 12.75 × 12.5 in
One of a kind

A figure interrupted—held together through tension, not stability.

Wrecking Her Resolve constructs the figure through fragmentation and physical disruption. The composition resists a fixed, contained form—both in the image itself and in the hand-cut shape of the panel, which follows and breaks away from the contours of the collage.

The figure appears caught in a moment of internal pressure, limbs folded and extended in ways that suggest both protection and strain. Masculine and feminine-coded elements intersect, creating a layered identity that feels assembled rather than singular.

The irregular edge reinforces this instability. Rather than framing the figure, the surface gives way to it—blurring the boundary between image and object. Encased in resin, the work is simultaneously preserved and suspended, creating a distance between the viewer and the tension held within the piece.

The result is a work that exists between cohesion and collapse—where resolve is not fixed, but continually negotiated.
