Annabelle - Print

from $85.00

A study in gaze, desire, and the constructed image of femininity.

Annabelle presents the female figure suspended between intimacy and performance. Her gaze is soft yet distant, her gesture suggestive—inviting attention while withholding resolution.

Built through layered mark-making, collage elements, and fluid washes of color, the figure emerges and dissolves simultaneously. Areas of the body feel rendered and present, while others fragment into abstraction—suggesting the instability of identity when shaped by external perception.

The interplay between delicacy and disruption reflects a broader tension: the desire to be seen versus the awareness of being looked at. Annabelle exists within that space—poised, self-aware, and unresolved.

As part of an ongoing exploration of femininity, media, and representation, this work questions how the female image is constructed, consumed, and ultimately reclaimed.
