Acrylic, resin, and mixed media on wood
29.5 x 47.5 x 2 in
A figure held in tension—gesture stretched across the surface.
Take On Me builds the figure through movement and interruption. Elongated gestures extend across the surface, creating a sense of pressure—held, stretched, and slightly unstable.
The composition balances control and release. Linear elements repeat and accumulate, forming a framework that both supports and restricts the figure. What appears fluid is simultaneously contained, creating tension between motion and structure.
The resin surface intensifies this dynamic. It preserves the marks while subtly distorting them, creating a distance between the physical gesture and its perception. The work exists between action and restraint, surface and form.
