Hello nostalgia!

My work broadly is an exploration of femininity. Mid-century advertising was the catalyst. The way in which women were portrayed in advertisements ran from silly to insulting.

Have things progressed much for women since then? Are we backsliding on the progress that has been made?

The Kingdom Comes in particular is about a time that seemed simpler. Was it really? Debatable, but the carefree vibe is in there.
