Like my other recent roller girl, this piece is also about nostalgia while exploring femininity. The 80s were my childhood and the many connections to music, fashion and beauty standards are intertwined with growing up and learning about the world. The veneer of carefree and simple shines bright when I look back even though things weren't always that way in reality.
