Striped Porcelain Milk Jug No. 26.141 — Deep Firebrick

$110.00

A little structure. A little rebellion. And a glaze that refuses to stay in line.

Handcrafted in porcelain by contemporary artist Alissa Van Atta, Milk Jug No. 26.141 combines bold graphic stripes with the rich, organic movement of Deep Firebrick glaze.

Strong black horizontal bands wrap around the creamy white body, creating a clean, almost architectural rhythm. At the shoulders, a glossy reddish-brown glaze interrupts that precision, flowing over the surface in irregular drips and pooling around the narrow neck and sculptural spout.

The contrast between controlled geometry and unpredictable glaze movement gives this little vessel its personality.

Inspired by the familiar form of a milk container, Van Atta transforms an ordinary domestic object into a playful contemporary ceramic sculpture. Its squared silhouette, small handle, and distinctive surface treatment balance nostalgia with a decidedly modern sensibility.

Each milk jug is individually formed, glazed, and fired, allowing subtle variations in shape, surface, and glaze movement to become part of its character. No two are exactly alike.

Display it as a sculptural accent, style it with dried botanical stems, or let its bold stripes make a statement all on their own.

Milk Jug No. 26.141 is one of a kind—where graphic precision meets a little beautifully controlled chaos.
