Chun Plum & Honey Flux Ceramic Milk Jug Vase — 26.80
A little vintage charm with a beautifully unpredictable streak.
This one-of-a-kind porcelain milk jug features a rich interplay of Chun Plum, Honey Flux, and Clear Satin glazes, creating layers of warm burgundy, dusty rose, golden honey, and creamy ivory.
Deep plum tones envelop the neck and shoulders before cascading into softer, flowing passages of amber and cream. The glazes overlap and mingle across the surface, forming delicate transitions, organic drips, and beautiful variations that make every angle of this little vessel worth exploring.
The glossy, richly colored upper portion contrasts with the quieter ivory tones below, giving the piece both visual depth and a sense of movement. Depending on the light, the glaze reveals subtle shifts between wine-red, rose, caramel, and pale gold.
Inspired by traditional milk jugs, this contemporary ceramic piece reimagines a familiar utilitarian shape as a miniature sculptural artwork. Its compact body, angular shoulders, narrow neck, and small handle preserve the nostalgic character of vintage pottery while the expressive glaze treatment gives it a distinctly modern personality.
Each milk jug is individually created and glazed by artist Alissa Van Atta in her North Carolina studio. The firing process allows the glazes to interact in ways that cannot be completely predicted or repeated, producing a truly individual finish.
Perfect as a standalone decorative object, part of a collection of handmade ceramics, or styled with dried botanicals, this little jug brings warmth, color, and character to a shelf, mantel, or tabletop.
Small in scale, but full of personality.
