Part of my ongoing Type Series, this one-of-a-kind handbuilt porcelain milk carton transforms an everyday disposable object into a lasting ceramic sculpture. Fragments of impressed typography drift across the surface, inviting viewers to search for meaning while emphasizing rhythm, spacing, and texture rather than complete narratives.
Its familiar carton form is reimagined in porcelain, balancing crisp geometry with the subtle irregularities that reveal the work as entirely handbuilt. The glossy white glaze enhances the softness of the porcelain while allowing the typography to remain the primary visual element.
Suitable as a sculptural object or as a vessel for dried botanicals or fresh stems with a watertight liner.
